Paradise Watersports

One of the best ways to soak up the character of our state is by attending a festival. Plan your travels around these upcoming summer events in Maryland, and get ready for sunny days ahead!

Strawberry Festival—Sandy Spring

June 11th – 12th

It’s amazing how some of our favorite foods can be associated with our fondest memories. The Sandy Spring Museum celebrates this specific joy by bringing family fun, food, and community together for their annual Strawberry Festival. Alongside food trucks and a beer garden, you can enjoy strawberries freshly picked, baked in desserts, and blended into drinks.

The festival grounds will also offer a petting zoo, face painters, and carnival games. You can purchase a single entry and family tickets online ahead of time for discounts.

Annapolis Juneteenth Celebration—Annapolis

June 18th

Juneteenth festivals take place across the USA to remember the emancipation of the last enslaved Africans in Galveston, Texas. As a celebration of freedom, the Annapolis Juneteenth Celebration honors the culture, community, and contributions of Black and African American Marylanders. The day will begin with a parade full of local talent and organizations followed by a festival with live music and performances. An array of foods and vendors from across the African diaspora will be available for purchase.
